PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING !! We cannot ship live plants to California, Arizona, Kansas, Washington, Oregon or out of the United States, though seeds CAN usually be sent. Order Form: Once you have completed the selection of the plants that you wish to purchase, simply click on "Finish Order" near the top of your browser window. You will be prompted for your name and address and for the address to which you wish your purchases to be shipped. Once you have entered that information, just click on the "Continue" button (at the bottom of the information form that you've just finished) and a completed order form will be displayed for you. After reviewing the order form, if you are satisfied with your order, just click the "Pay On-Line" button to go to our secure payment page or the "Print" button to print your order form for mailing to us with your payment. Ordering Information: To the right of each plant's prices (which you'll see when you view the plant information) is availability information. Please check this carefully. REMEMBER- those plants whose prices are followed by season indicators are not available before the indicated season. Quantity Discounts Quantity discounts are only on totals of one species, not combinations. No discount on seed. Discount Schedule: Discounts apply only to total numbers of each plant ordered, not combinations. 3-9 plants = 5% 10 or more = 15% Conditions of Sale: There is no minimum order. Full Remittance should accompany each order. For orders that are mailed to us, only cash, check or money orders are accepted. We do not currently accept credit cards for mailed orders. Shipping and Handling: Live Plants All orders east of the Rockies will add 20% to your total; West of the Rockies will add 25%. Minimum shipping charge is $6.00; this includes seeds. We recommend 2nd day air for west of the Rockies, as many such points take 5-6 working days and so may be in a box for a week or more and therefore cannot be guaranteed to be healthy by the time they reach you. If you choose next day or 2nd day, please indicate your choice in the space provided on the order form and, for mailed orders, include your signature. Minimum shipping and handling charge on all live plant orders is $6.00, or 20%, whichever is greater. Seeds Shipping of seeds is based on "shipping units", with a "unit" consisting of from 1 to 5 seed packets; the cost of shipping is $.50 per unit. So, if you order between 1 to 5 seed packets, your shipping cost will be $.50; if you order between 6 to 10 packets, your shipping cost will be $1.00; etc. Nursery Pick-up and Visitation: Nursery Pick-up or Visitation is welcomed by prior arrangement only. We are a mail order nursery. If you would like to also look around and possibly do further shopping while you are here, please let us know so that we can help you. Plants do not have price tags and our helpers do not make sales. As primarily a container nursery we don't have much in the way of real "gardens". Most of our plants in the ground are either in large stock beds or informally "naturalized'" here and there, but with no shortage of plants to keep you entertained. We are fairly isolated and most folks find the grounds a very peaceful, relaxing place to learn more plants. We obviously like it and do encourage you to visit, but do call first, at least a couple of days ahead if possible, so you won't be disappointed. Thanks. Click here to see a map showing our location. Substitutions: Unless otherwise directed by you, we will make substitutions in size when necessary at no extra charge for a larger size, or a comparable number of smaller sizes. Refunds slow the processing of orders considerably; therefore we strongly suggest that you note 2-3 substitutions in the space provided either for more of the plants you have already ordered or for different ones. Shipping Dates: Most of our plants are grown in containers and so may be shipped at almost any time of the year except when very hot or very cold. Plant orders will normally be shipped within 1 week of our receiving the order unless otherwise requested by you under "preferred ship date'. If for any reason we must delay your shipment, we will notify you of the revised ship date. Be sure to include a street address for shipping purposes, not a route or P.O. Box number, even if you know that they, UPS, know where you are, as it is our driver who may refuse it. (Seeds may take up to four weeks.) Claims: Inspect contents immediately! If plants are damaged in shipment or if a delayed shipment arrives in poor condition, you must contact UPS immediately and make a claim. You must retain all contents and packing material for their inspection. If after contacting UPS you are still not satisfied, call us and we will try to help work things out. If the contents of your order are in error or unhealthy, contact us within 10 days and we will make the appropriate corrections. Our liability is limited only to the purchase price of the plants. (Don't let this make you nervous - we have had less than a handful of any kind of shipping problems, our fault or the shipper's, and all were resolved to all parties' satisfaction in fairly short order.) Wholesale Buyers: Wholesale prices are available to qualified buyers when quantities are good. Please include the appropriate identification when requesting a wholesale quote. Landscapers, Designers and Groups: We often have plants in gallon and larger sizes at the nursery so be sure to check with us if you don't see the size you need. If you have projects requiring mass plantings we can usually CUSTOM PROPAGATE what you need at reduced prices. Please inquire. Consultation and Design Services are available for your planting projects including related environmental concerns and can often be conducted through the mail. Contact us for details. Guarantees: Plants: all plants are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of shipment. To the best of our knowledge, all plants are true to species. Any orders west of the Rockies cannot be guaranteed to arrive in good condition unless shipped 2nd day air. Please inform us of any damaged, diseased or incorrect plant material as soon as possible, within 10 days, and we will replace (if available), or refund in full. Our liability is limited only to the purchase price of the plants. We want our plants to reach you in excellent condition and to perform well for you thereafter, so please let us know if you have any problems, even if it is after 10 days and we will try to help you. Seeds: to the best of our knowledge seeds are true to species. We make no statement as to viability since several are collected from the wild. We use the very same seed ourselves and so work hard to maintain a high percentage of viability.
